My job as your doula is to bring about the most positive birthing experience possible. My goal is to help ease your transition into parenthood, thus helping you become a more confident mother. Studies have proven and common sense dictates, that the more empowered a woman feels in labor and delivery, the more confident she feels as a new parent. My job is to stand by you and offer education and unconditional support, whatever way you chose to birth your baby. I offer both birth doula and post partum doula care and breastfeeding support. My services as birth doula includes two prenatal visits and one post partum visit, as well as the entire labor and delivery. I will meet you at your house as early as you feel you need support and stay throughout the labor and delivery. Once the baby is born I will stay until you are settled in your room and the baby is comfortably breastfeeding. Postpartum doula work can include breast feeding support, baby care while you nap, light house keeping, errand running, among other things.

Birth Doula Services Provided: *Initial consultation, $50 fee to be put towards the full payment if we chose to work together. *Two prenatal home visits which will cover birth plans, comfort measures, alleviating fears and answering any and all questions you may have. *Continuous labor support from the onset of labor, staying with you until an hour or two following the birth, when breastfeeding has successfully been established and you are settled and comfortable. *One post partum visit, where you will have a chance to review the birthing experience and cover any questions you may have about baby care and feeding. *A birth story letter to the baby.

Post Partum Doula Services Provided: Post partum services are designed to your own specific needs. If you need help with baby care, because you just need a break, I can help with that. I have lots of experience with new borns, having two of my own kids and spending ten years as a day care tacher. If you need help with the baby I can come to your home and help with all aspects of baby care. If you are comfortable with the care and feeding of your newborn, and you just need help with laundry, cleaning or cooking then that is where I can help you out! If you just have questions and you don't know where to turn, I can help you there as well. I have a wealth of knowledge, and if I don't know the answer right away, I can get it for you quickly.
